Update

Tiger Wood was injured in a car accident this morning in Florida.

At around 2:25 a.m., Woods reportedly pulled out of his driveway in the community of Isleworth — near Orlando — and smashed his Cadillac SUV into a fire hydrant before hitting a tree on his neighbor’s property.

He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in what was initially described as  ”serious condition.”

But now his rep and the hospital say the accident was “minor,” and that Woods was released and is in “good condition.”

A call came into the Orange County Fire Rescue department for help at 2:28 a.m. The police arrived several minutes later, according to Mayor Gary Bruhn, who told CNN that the golfer was treated for facial lacerations and then released.

Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, was inside their home when she heard the accident. She told the police she used a golf club to smash the rear window of the car, and then pulled him out.

“There was Tiger Woods laying on the ground in front of the vehicle, with his wife over him rendering first aid,” said Police Chief Daniel Saylor.

He added that Woods “was in and out of consciousness with lacerations to his upper and lower lip… He was mumbling but didn’t say anything coherent.”
