Oprah Winfrey is keeping BeBe Winans from appearing on her talk program again until domestic violence charges against the gospel singer are resolved.
Many observers criticized Winfrey for including Winans in “karaoke challenge” tapings and appearing on her program last Friday after she took a strong stand against Chris Brown, convicted of assault against Rihanna. Accused of employing a “double standard,” Winfrey has taken Winans off the karaoke segment, according to a spokesperson.
Winans was charged with misdemeanor domestic assault last winter after allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground.
