“Breaking Dawn” Split in Two; Are Fans Split, Too?

The final installment in The Twilight Saga begins production this fall.

As announced late yesterday, Breaking Dawn will be turned into two separate films, with the first set to hit screens on November 18, 2011. Dividing Stephenie Meyer‘s final tome in half had long been the expected route; it’s now official.

There is also word that the movies could be done in 3-D. The technology has inspired both awe (in films like Avatar) and groans (Clash of the Titans).

So with one major decision made and another still to be determined, how do YOU feel about the Breaking Dawn project?

    I can somewhat understand why its two…but 3D?!?! Thats ridiculous. ITs obvious they just want all your money and dont care about the story. Its not about the fantasy aspects and action..its about the ROMANCE! 3D?? wtf when? When in BD is there any real action for 3D to be cool? the birthing scene? NO. Id prefer one movie,no 3D but I can accept two movies. I cant accept 3D. Thats just unnecessary.

    I’m all for the 3D if the scene warrants the use, like when Bella wakes up or when/if MR writes in a fight sequence with the Volturi and the Cullen’s at the end but something like B&E getting on or Bella popping the half-breed out, not so much.

    As for the split, where would the split happen, and why would I waste money to see more Jacob Black and the puke- inducing wolves when I want to see Edward, Bella and the Cullen’s? Trim the unnecessary stuff (read, anything more than necessary about Jacob and the wolves) and stick more of the Cullen’s and the vampires in. The only people who want the Jacob/wolf stuff are Team Jacob fans.

    WOW! Scummit sure is greedy! BD in 3D is just nuts! Disappointing they can’t deliver the story in 3 hours, it seems just because of Greedy reasons…The mighty dollar is behind it! Summit might as well ride the gravy train because it is about to end!!

    it is good that d movie is split into 2 parts ,as the fans will be able to understand the story quite well. As it is we know how long & lenghty the book was!!!!
