Edis Kayalar, the 26-year-old man who allegedly tried to extort $100,000 from Cindy Crawford, turned himself in to police in Stuttgart, Germany.

Kayalar, who reportedly threatened to release a photo of Crawford’s 8-year-old daughter, Kaia, bound and gagged in a chair, could face up to two years in prison if convicted of the one count of extortion for which he’s been charged.

According to court papers, Kaia said her former nanny took the disturbing photo during a game of “cops and robbers.”

Later today Kayalar is set to appear before a judge who will determine whether he should remain in custody.
