Bradley Cooper Forbidding Lady Gaga Alcohol While Filming ‘A Star Is Born’?
Bradley Cooper is NOT forbidding Lady Gaga from drinking alcohol during the duration of filming the upcoming movie, A Star Is Born, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “all untrue.”
The singer is close to signing a deal to headline the remake, which Cooper is also directing in addition to co-starring in. But according to OK!, the actor’s “one non-negotiable condition” of her getting the role is that she abstain from booze. “It’s just the way he prefers to work,” says a so-called “source” close to Cooper, who has been open about his years of sobriety.
The tabloid’s dubious insider goes on to say that Lady Gaga isn’t thrilled with the supposed stipulation because “she loves a drink and says it won’t affect her ability to do the job,” but she “isn’t likely to turn down the role for that reason.” The magazine’s seemingly phony source adds that while Cooper “doesn’t want to preach to her,” he’s adamant about the no-alcohol rule.
However, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Lady Gaga, who exclusively assures us that the tabloid’s report is “all untrue.” We’re told there have simply never been any discussions between Cooper and the singer pertaining to her abstaining from alcohol. Nor should drinking on the set even be an issue for the Golden Globe-winning actress.
Unfortunately, we’re not particularly surprised by the tabloid’s tall tale. Gossip Cop previously corrected OK! for wrongly reporting that Lady Gaga was both “pregnant” and “going broke.” We also recently called out the magazine for its inaccurate story about Cooper allegedly “ditching” girlfriend Irina Shayk at the 2016 Met Gala. The outlet’s latest claim about the pair is equally fabricated.
