Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Did NOT Split Two Years Before Divorce, Despite Report
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did NOT split two years before announcing their divorce in September, despite an inaccurate webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to RadarOnline, the ex-couple had broken up shortly after the 2014 Oscars, during which they supposedly got into a “jealous argument.” While posing on the red carpet at the awards show, the actress stuck her leg out of her thigh-high split dress, which the webloid claims annoyed Pitt. A so-called “source” tells the site, “She behaved so badly that night, trying to steal all the attention from him with her ridiculous leg.”
Pitt’s film 12 Years A Slave, which he co-starred in and produced, went on to win Best Picture, but the outlet’s dubious insider alleges, “She was so awful to him and his Plan B team that he cut short his own celebration with the 12 Years A Slave co-stars. She wouldn’t let him enjoy the win for even a second.” The “source” further purports that leading up to the Academy Awards, Jolie was “getting jealous and bored of Brad and Plan B dominating everything,” and “they had a massive fight that night and agreed to split.”
Of course, Pitt and Jolie got married just a few months after the Oscars in August 2014, but the site calls their nuptials “an attempt to patch up the damage that had began during the awards season earlier that year.” Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the webloid’s report is simply “not true.” The exes never broke up at any point prior to announcing their divorce, and the claim otherwise is entirely fabricated.
