Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock NOT Dating, Despite Report
“Brad and Sandra: Yes, it’s true!” exclaims the headline of a fake news story that wrongly claims Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock are now a couple. “It’s the Hollywood coupling that fans have been waiting for, and now it’s finally come true,” adds the Australian tabloid New Idea. Gossip Cop, however, can correct this entirely untrue report.
According to the publication, Bullock and Pitt have “discreetly started seeing each other, with the pair taking things ‘to the next level’ after a string of secret dates and private phone calls.” The magazine alleges that Bullock dumped photographer Bryan Randall earlier this year, “leaving her free to pursue Brad in the wake of his messy split from wife Angelina Jolie.”A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “It’s fair to say that Brad and Sandra have always had a soft spot for each other.’” It’s also fair to say the article is a total fabrication. And, apparently Pitt and Bullock’s “dates” are such a “secret” that not even the two of them know about them.
Anyway, the tabloid’s unreliable tipster continues, “They’ve always moved in the same crowd but the timing has been wrong, either he’s been with someone, or she has. But now they’re finally free to take their chemistry to the next level.” The magazine’s know-nothing “insider” contends mutual friend George Clooney “set Brad up with Sandy.” “George is determined to help heal Brad’s heart, and couldn’t think of anyone better than Sandy,” the same alleged source concludes.
Here’s what is accurate about the New Idea story: The spellings of Pitt, Bullock and Clooney’s names. Here’s what is inaccurate about the tabloid’s article: Everything else. It’s a fake news story. Bullock is still dating Randall, and Pitt is not remotely romantically tied to the actress. A source close to Pitt even laughed off the claim.
