Brad Pitt Tells Interview: My Family is “Everything”

Brad Pitt’s kids haven’t only changed his personal life — they’re altering his professional career as well.

In the October/November issue of Interview magazine, the actor says he’s becoming increasingly particular about the movie roles he chooses because he wants to leave a good legacy to his six children.

Pitt tells interviewer Guy Ritchie, who directed him in Snatch, “I want it to be worthy enough of a story to leave the family, you know? They’re everything.”

The actor adds, “The family is first… I also don’t want to embarrass them.”

Pitt goes on to reveal that now, “I’d rather be behind the camera,” even though he still feels “pretty damn solid” about his work as an actor.

He can next be seen playing a hitman in Killing Them Softly, which hits theaters on November 30.

    I’m looking forward to “Killing Them Softly” because I”m planning to see it for my birthday. It looks like a good movie. I was in Spain just a couple of weeks ago and there were posters all over the place for this movie and I thought the date for the opening was sometime in October. Of course, it would not be strange if a Pitt movie were to open abroad first since Brad is an international star. I also think I’ll pick up that copy of Interview.

    Those photos are photoshoped , dont forget that fact, so, in reality, I dont see how anyone can think he is hot, sexy, he looks all washed out and old, Also on Killing them softly screening in London he looks like wax statue…. No happy man try so hard to look better then he actually do, and fail in it so hard. He had his moments in acting, I will not say he is bad actor, but not exquisite either, he HAD look and that look was more then half of his glory, now he lost that too. Angelina is so underweight that it is scary, he have in his eyes some weird kind of sadness… I dont see them anymore as happy couple as they were 7 years ago, not just by looking at photos. After all, he is 50 yo, ageing will do what will do to him, I mean as a man, he loosing more then looks, right? His family is most important to him, isnt he rich enough (he did f. comercials for money) and stay with his family more?

    The media is to blame because they NEVER have printed an interview accurately without negative editing since 2005 when he and Angelina became the prime targets of slander. Their interview soundbytes always get misportrayed. They have to deal with their comments being misquoted, distorted, and even planted statements they did not make. Then Brad has to issue clarifications about misconstrued interviews. He has had to do this multiple times and then the media spins against that.

    I know for a fact that he has discussed deeper and different topics in his interviews but that does not get printed. He analyzes his films but they don’t print that. The media usually just twists around words about his personal life out of context and then they try to wrongly depict it in some way to damage his image with more unfounded negativity.

    There is NOTHING controversial about this soundbyte but haters and trolls are pathetic enough to contrive something to insult him over. All that came from this soundbyte is that he is choosing his roles more carefully because he wants to make good movies and that he is happy & love his kids.

    He was talking about making good films that have quality and will have longevity in Hollywood History. He did not say he was limiting himself to just make family-friendly films. That would be limiting as an actor. His kids will get older and will be able to appreciate Fight Club, Inglorious Basterds, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Seven, Babel, Kalifornia, Thelma & Louise, and so many other great films.

    I didn’t connect you to other people’s posts. I pointed out that there was one hater using at least seven different names to post on here which is the truth and they are getting away with it due to this new format where it is not easy to pin point trolls and imposters. Any person with common sense can see somebody here is using multiple names to act like their hateful comments are getting tons of support and tons of people agree with them. The regulars here can quickly detect this person because they have repeatedly done this and their commenting gives them away. Then that troll is impersonating me. You have to be deluded to deny this fact.

    Most of my responses were actually directed towards one person pretending to be seven people. Then I responded to two other haters so my replying is not as extreme as people think. I think logical people would understand.

    Why are you defending this sick person? Any person can go to different computers and use different IP’s. They can go to a public facility and use different computers. There are mechanisms to cover up IP’s or use proxies. Somebody is making an insane effort to do this and you are outrageous enough to call me the crazy one because I saw through their ways.

    You are the one who needs to seek counseling for the level of bullying, insulting, and slandering you are engaging in. Then you are arrogant and horrible enough to wrongly diagnose me with a bunch of mental disorders.

    Usually, when we have people like you who comment…there are regulars here who would respond to you but since there has been a gap in articles about them recently, we have had not has as much defenses against trolls and cyberbullies.

    Quit pretending to be the victim here. You responded with hateful garbage and insults. Then you chose to harass people. Then people reacted to that. A moral person reacts to slander and I tried to stop the trolling by responding to it. Look at how you responded first, I replied to that. If it wasn’t me, it would be another intelligent person reacting against your filthy, degrading posts that are full of derogatory insults that have no truth to it.

    Quit trying to spread horrible lies about me. I don’t comment on most of the articles on Gossip Cop. I occasionally reply on the Brad and Angelina
    articles when it is necessary when the trolls and haters come in droves to spread their filth. GC is one of the few decent sites left and it is about debunking lies/bs so I have the right to do that.
