George Clooney isn’t “pushing” Brad Pitt to attend a Halloween party, despite yet another made-up report about the longtime friends. Gossip Cop can bust the story.

On Friday night, HollywoodLife purported to have an “exclusive” about the former co-stars, and blared in a headline, “George Clooney Pushing Brad Pitt To Come To Halloween Party & Get Mind Off Angelina.” The accompanying article said, “Brad Pitt needs to get his mind off the Angelina Jolie divorce ASAP. That’s why George Clooney is pushing the actor to attend his Halloween party.”

“Halloween is all about having fun, so it’s the perfect excuse to force Brad out of the house. After all, he needs a good distraction to keep his mind away from Angelina Jolie,” said the site, which quoted a so-called “source” as saying, “Brad has been invited to George’s big annual halloween party in Beverly Hills Saturday night. George has been encouraging Brad to attend his big A-list party with the most beautiful single women in Hollywood in attendance, but Brad has been hesitant to commit.”

HollywoodLies, though, is clearly committed to making up stories about these two. The webloid was already caught lying about Pitt “leaning on” Clooney after the Jolie split was announced, as Clooney didn’t even know about the divorce at the time that story was published. And then the bad blog was caught lying again about Pitt staying at Clooney’s home.

Gossip Cop has repeatedly been assured that no reputable source close to either Pitt or Clooney is talking to HollywoodLife. But that’s not the only way we know this new tale is fake. While the site posted it on Friday night, claiming Clooney’s party would be on “Saturday night,” the bash was actually held on Friday, just hours after this tall tale was posted.

The know-nothings at HollywoodLies continue to pretend to have “exclusive” insight. Clearly, though, the webloid remains clueless.
