Angeline Jolie Did NOT Destroy Brad Pitt, George Clooney Friendship, Despite Report
Angelina Jolie did NOT destroy Brad Pitt and George Clooney’s friendship over her jealousy of Amal Clooney, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s not true.
A so-called “source” tells Life & Style that the Ocean’s Eleven co-stars stopped talking while Pitt was married to Jolie because she “couldn’t stand being around Amal, not because Amal was unkind or rude, but solely because Angie was filled with envy.” The tabloid’s dubious insider goes on to purport Jolie resented the human rights lawyer because she’s “educated, accomplished and well-respected in the political world, while Angelina knows people still think of her as an actress above everything else.”
The magazine’s seemingly phony source further alleges Jolie often badmouthed Amal to mutual friends, and Clooney became furious that Pitt “wouldn’t stand up to Angie.” “George was really upset that Brad couldn’t tell his wife to be kind and accepting of Amal,” adds the publication’s supposed insider. But Gossip Cop checked in with a reliable source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us the tabloid’s entire account of events is simply untrue. We’re told Jolie never created a rift between Clooney and her estranged husband, nor has she ever had any issues with Amal, and the claim otherwise is entirely false.
Unfortunately, we’re not surprised by the outlet’s phony report. Gossip Cop recently debunked a Life & Style cover story falsely claiming Jolie gave Pitt custody of their children. We also busted the tabloid for wrongly alleging Pitt called Jolie “phony” following her recent BBC interview. This latest tale from the often unreliable magazine is equally bogus.
