Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are NOT on the verge of a “shocking split,” despite a wholly fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to In Touch, the movie star couple has been having marital problems for more than a year, and a breakup is imminent. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “They’ve been living separate lives. And they had a series of relationship-ending fights over the family’s Christmas vacation.”

The tabloid then alleges that Pitt and Jolie have been arguing over her unhealthy eating habits, his control issues and their busy work schedules, among other supposed issues. The magazine’s dubious insider goes on to claim Pitt is “planning to file divorce papers” as soon as February. “He’s ready to move on to the second phase of his life and that no longer includes Angelina. They’re done,” adds the questionable “source.”

Gossip Cop once again checked in with a source close to the couple, and we’re exclusively assured the tabloid’s story is simply “not true.” Pitt and Jolie’s marriage is not ending, despite the outlet’s countless attempts to convince people otherwise.

It’s actually astounding how many times Gossip Cop has corrected In Touch when it has wrongly reported that Pitt and Jolie were on the verge of splitting. We’ve also repeatedly shot down the tabloid’s various claims about his supposed control issues and her alleged health issues causing fights between Pitt and Jolie. These stories never pan out, and stringing all those falsehoods together for its latest divorce tale doesn’t make it any more true. Gossip Cop will be interested in February to see how the magazine weasels out of its current misfire when Pitt does not file for divorce.
