“Brad Pitt dined with famed playwright/screenwriter/film director David Mamet last night at Capo Italian restaurant in Santa Monica to discuss a project in which Pitt would be behind the camera as director,” reports X17Online “exclusively.”

The blog claims “the screenplay will be written by Mamet” and “will be shot, at least in part, in Brazil.”

Wow… As in, “Wow – X17Online is wrong again.”

A rep for Mamet tells Gossip Cop the site’s story is “absolutely not true.”

Pitt’s partner Angelina Jolie recently directed her first feature film, a love story set against the backdrop of the Bosnian War.
