I think you’re looking at this situation as a woman/or man that would want marriage. Angelina has stated time and time again that she doesn’t need the paper because she was content with both being committed to their children. Brad is the one that has always skirted the issue with gay marriage and kids. I’ve never understood why he couldn’t just be as honest as Angelina and say they don’t need marriage, but I’ve always had a sneaking suspicion that he is the one that actually wants it more than the children. Brad and Angelina did NOT fully admit to falling in love, their print quotes have been taken out of context, negatively edited, distorted, and they have had to deal with fabrications. The media can easily do this and has engaged in this several times to manipulate people into thinking they said something incriminating, damaging, or false by acting like there was some torrid confession. The faniston claim regarding that comes from one article that was re-circulated to cause controversy over a single misquote they claimed came from Angelina randomly while she was promoting another film, where mommy and daddy fell in love. They disregard the fact, that just months before…Angelina adamantly denied the affair claims and said she did not wreck that marriage. That interview had been misportrayed with spin also but it got cleared up.

Then the media coincidentally repeats the same tactic with Pitt’s Rolling Stone interview where his words were taken out of context where they asked about the importance of that movie…then he was quoted as saying fell in love, had six kids. Obviously, the movie led to all of those things because that is where they met but obviously they did not have six kids during the shoot. It was all spun around and misportrayed by the press to cause controversy despite the fact that Pitt repeatedly denied they had an affair and also more importantly denied Jolie was the cause which is the truth.

The media tried to create a firestorm and create a misleading impression. Brad then went on the Today Show as well as issue statements to PEOPLE and Reuters, that his words were misconstrued, denied having an affair during the shoot, and reminded people that Mr. and Mrs. Smith continued to have re-shoots after he split up from Aniston. Angelina also specifically said numerous times, they did not become romantically involved until after the shoot ended which was in March and it was unexpected.

Regardless, that movie does have significance because that is where they first officially met, worked together, and bonded. It was the start of their love story because it was the foundation for what would happen in the future between them.

Any couple would look at the period where they first met with fondness and romantic overtones even if started as professional or a friendship. Brad has never been cited as saying anything inferring except that movie was important and meaningful for his kids and it changed his life. It did because it introduced him to his current mate Angelina.

People don’t hold that stupid attitude with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, and so many other couples who met when they were with other people. They denied affair accusations and the public moved on. They didn’t take a derogatory attitude towards the movie where they met and probably had their first sparks. The media didn’t target them horribly because their exes were not vindictive like Aniston who exploited the golden girl victim claims. You can be attracted to somebody but NOT act on it, until it becomes appropriate.
