Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie married?

That’s what the Telegraph claims, reporting, “Word reaches us that Hollywood’s hottest couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, secretly tied the knot on Christmas Day in the Caribbean’s Turks and Caicos Islands.”

The paper writes that the longtime couple “have been spending the holiday at the private Parrot Cay estate of American fashion designer, Donna Karan along with their six children, Brad’s parents Jane and William Pitt, his brother Doug and sister Julie.”

Noting the speculation that’s been swirling about the pair’s impending nuptials, the Telegraph says Pitt and Jolie “might have given the world’s press the slip and tied the knot while the paparazzi were busy tucking into turkey.”

“Might” is the key word here.

Gossip Cop looked into the claim, and there are no real indications yet that the couple have actually said “I do.”

Reps for Jolie and Pitt — who became engaged in April – have not responded to requests for comment.

Gossip Cop will continue to monitor the situation and check with more sources, but for now the widely cited Telegraph report appears to be nothing more than speculation.

    I think the rags found out that the Jolie-Pitts were in the Turks and Caicos with the entire Pitt family and just ASSUMED there was a wedding. Even if it did happen I would not be surprised. They are engaged, after all. Plus, it would just thrill me that the paps were in Cabo photographing Aniston’s butt while the REAL story, the one that would make them big money, was going on elsewhere. LOL (But, I don’t really think they got married.)

    You can make that stupid claim for any high profile celeb who gets targetted by the media. Yes, they should charge money for something that is personal and private. The media shouldn’t be able to make millions of dollars over this which would just go into more sleazy coverage being spread.

    This way at certain important times, a celeb can have some control and make sure the money can go to a good place with the truth about their wedding or birth of their children not being tainted by so many lies. Not to mention, your trashing and ignorance applies to the majority of A-listers. It is actually more stupid to let the paps go out of control and let the tabloids stalk you more to extreme lengths to make such insane profit from your personal pics. Brad and Angelina are at the top of their list so that is why their pics are higher in demand.

    Either way, the media would direct a lot of attention to it.

    No, it is seriously ignorant for you to use that spin against them especially since you don’t seem to apply it to your idol either. It is gross how you mock them for somewhat beating the system on these important occasions which ensure the money goes to a good place like to charity and organizations that help the needy instead of being wasted on more press sleaze. Not to mention, that millions of dollars you are mocking helped tons of impoverished people instead of being pumped more into tabloids.

    If they did not do this, the media would go insane regardless by targetting them to get unauthorized pics without their permission. Then the media would print inaccurate stories and plant all sorts of salacious and untrue details. It is not sensible or okay to let the media exploit you as much as possible by making so much money out of your personal pictures. The media does this anyway but they go rabidly out of control on special occasions like weddings and the birth of children in which the paps really cross the line.

    This might be at the celebrity’s expense but engaging in a negotiation ensures some civility, some accurate coverage, some protection, and the money can go to a good place & actually help people.

    They’re bound to get married sometime so it wouldn’t surprise me. Most A listers try to do so secretly then sell the pics afterwards. A lot also do what the Jolie/Pitts do and donate the money they make off the pics to charity.
