Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie “No Longer Couple”?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still a couple, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the record. We’re assured the latest tale of marital strife, and allegations that they’re living separate lives, is simply “tabloid trash.”
According to the National Enquirer, Pitt and Jolie are “no longer a couple” and “divorce is on the horizon.” The supermarket tabloid quotes a so-called “source” as claiming, “They’re leading separate lives.” The magazine further alleges supposed “insiders” are blaming it on Jolie’s “globe-trotting and endless crusading for the world’s downtrodden as the duo’s biggest problem.” “Angie’s is taking humanitarian work very seriously, and has traveled to Lebanon, Greece, and Washington, D.C., in the past few months,” says the publication’s questionable “source,” who adds that Pitt is now “seriously lonely.”
The magazine then fills paragraph after paragraph with unsubstantiated claims, including how Jolie allegedly felt “humiliated” when Pitt waved the starting flag at last month’s Le Mans auto race in France while she was in New York seeing the show Hamilton with their son Knox. Added to that, the tabloid contends Pitt “acted like a single man” while recently hanging out with biker “babes” at the Born-Free Vintage Chopper and Classic Cycle Show in Silverado, California. And for good measure, the outlet throws in the false accusation that Pitt has been getting “cozy” with his Allied co-star Marion Cotillard. As Gossip Cop has previously reported, none of those allegations are remotely true.
Going back to its original (misguided) premise, the tabloid concludes its latest article by stating Jolie has decided to “double” her humanitarian efforts, and that her relationship with Pitt has “really spiraled out of control.” Actually, the only thing that has spiraled out of control is the Enquirer’s inaccurate reporting. Pitt and Jolie, contrary to the magazine’s assertions, are still very much a “couple.” In fact, they recently rented a place in London while he shot Allied precisely so the whole family could be together.
And the claim that Jolie’s “crusading for the world’s downtrodden” is the couple’s “biggest problem” is beyond absurd. Pitt knew when he met Jolie that humanitarian work was, in addition to acting, her passion, and he has been nothing less than entirely supportive of her charitable acts. Gossip Cop is told that is one of the many aspects about his wife to which he’s most attracted.
Month after month the tabloid has been pushing this false “divorce” narrative, and Gossip Cop has repeatedly corrected the publication. In December, for example, the outlet wrongly alleged in a cover story that Brangelina were getting a “$480 million divorce.” Of course, that’s still not true. Last March, the magazine also alleged that Jolie was slowly starving herself to death, and Pitt gave her the ultimatum of “eat or divorce.” And there have been various over concocted reasons for a supposed split, including untrue allegations about Pitt “lusting after” their nanny and Jolie’s supposed “flirting” with a crew member.
All those stories were provably wrong, as is the latest article that contends Pitt and Jolie are no longer a “couple.” Still, Gossip Cop fact-checks every story, and we’re once again told the new claim is “tabloid trash.” Maybe if the publication spent a “couple” of minutes into looking into its allegations, it wouldn’t publish so many falsehoods.
