You did not immediately report that they didn’t break up. That was Just Jared. He twittered shortly after Twitter exploded with the break up rumors that his sources told him that they didn’t break up and the story was false. You just twitted that you were checking into it and didn’t confirm the news till the next day. By then People are already also reported that they didn’t break up.

Thank you Dawn Marie. It took Gossipcop two days to clarify fully and a whole day, before they even addressed it -THEN, they kept ‘updating’ their weak refutation two days after the fact the more word got around it was bullsh*t. .

I’m convinced more than ever this site is possibly working in conjunction with the rags, they’re certainly not out to damage them in any way.

The only rumors they are quick to jump on, are the Twi-hard/Pattinson tabloid lies, they know the demo for him is made up of rabid twifans that swarm this site, so they don’t want to lose the traffic. You’d think rather than worrying about losing traffic, they’d try the same tactic with brangelina and attempt to GAIN MORE traffic.

They took so long to disavow the Brangelina split tabloid lie, they gave a lot of other gossip sites a head start on spreading it, including the tabloid they are seemingly in cahoots with (OK Magazine) – which came out with a story that same week about trouble in Brangelinaland. Nice dovetail on the vicious gossip they themselves took their sweet time in refuting. Nice timing.

I emailed Gossipcop enumerable times as a fan of Jolie and Pitt pleading with them to please get on this, and to make sure you mention that the origins of the story, ‘News of the World,’ was one of the most vile TABLOIDS on the planet, or at least MENTION that they’re a tabloid – but as you can see, for some reason Gossipcop has a hard time doing that. Same goes for Das Neue, the German tabloid and Bauer Publishing sister publication to In Touch and Life & Style. They don’t like actually pulling the curtain back totally, have you noticed??

Matter of fact, my posts got on their nerves so much (because of my frustration at their inaction I posted requesting that they look into it a couple times),and a person that I think was a staffer at Gossipcop decided to spread my personal sign-up registration info on the site, all while calling me a Brangelina freak.

Bottomline, Brad and Angelina are the bread and butter for the rags, they have somehow convinced themselves that the masses want to hear bad things about them – that, or they have this soap opera and they are sticking with it. I personally think more people would buy a rag that had Brad and Angelina sucking face happy the Saints won – women love a good romance (ask the twihards), rather than Brad storming out and taking his white children.

But then, there’s a reason why the tabloids are scraping the bottom of the revenue barrel and why Gossipcop, while getting off to a nice start initially, is now ignored. They aren’t even quoted anymore, have you noticed? I urged them to take this false tabloid explosion, EASILY disproven, and try and get booked onto some mainstream news outlets (CNN, Today Show, The View, etc.) clocking the tabloids and stating the FACTS (It would have meant a win for the fans, and a win for them as a legitimate watchdog) but they brushed me off. Meanwhile Perez Hilton went on The Today show the next morning, STRONGLY disavowing the story, calling a rag a rag and saying OF COURSE Brad and Angelina were together.

That’s right, your NEMESIS, the one you can’t stand, because he blocks you from his millions of followers, beat you to the punch, and was first to claim B.S. on a nationally televised network program, probably adding about 3 million more to his traffic count.

Keep up the bad work GC. By the way, I’ll be waiting breathlessly for more ‘Taylor Swift Drops a Grammy,’ coverage. You do SUCH a service to the world of journalism.

Dawn Marie – I think you should get a job. A real job that is, not one where you continually respond nastily to comments made by someone else. I don’t know who you are (or GC for that matter) but your frequent vindictive comments are downright annoying. If you don’t like what GC writes or how quickly he responds then don’t bloody well visit the site! Its not that difficult. Its like changing the channel when there is a tv show on you don’t like.

anky_star, Dawn Marie is a hater. Someone wrote a couple of weeks ago they thought she worked for Perez or was a failed blogger, and it’s obvious it’s something like that. GC does a great job. They don’t reprint BS like some of the lame other sites like Hollyscoop or Perez. Seriously, like anky said – if you don’t like it, turn the channel. The flip side you probably think your comments affect them and their business, but they’re having the last laugh getting your business day after day. Mostly though it’s sad you don’t have anything else going on in your life and have all the free time in the world to nitpick.
