Brad Paisley Performs ‘Today’ On ‘Good Morning America’ (VIDEO)
Brad Paisley performed “Today,” the first single from his new album Love and War, on Friday’s “Good Morning America.” Watch the video below!
The country singer’s 11th studio album, which dropped on Friday, features collaborations with music stars including Mick Jagger, Timbaland, and John Fogerty. “There’s several bucket list moments for me,” Paisley said on the morning talk show about getting to work with iconic artists. The musician noted that he and Jagger “wrote and recorded” the song “Drive of Shame,” while he and Fogerty “say a very important statement on a song that we did together,” the title track “Love and War.” He added, “It was a lot of fun.”
“Today,” which marks Paisley’s 24th No. 1 single, draws from his marriage to Kimberly Williams-Paisley. The track celebrates the love they have in the present, while also looking forward to the future. It includes the lyrics, “I don’t know about tomorrow / Right now the whole world is right / And the memory of a day like today / Can get you through the rest of your life.” The song’s music video earned over 25 million views and around 500,000 shares on Facebook in its first week.
