Uh-oh.
Did Boyz II Men just get caught lip synching during NBC’s live broadcast of the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting?
Nothing weird transpires while the group sings “This Christmas.”
But check out what happens after Natalie Morales introduces the next performer, Charice… and instead, the Boyz II Men vocals come back on!
The 1:38 mark is when the awkwardness begins.
NBC has issued this statement about the glitch:
“During last night’s ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center’ special on NBC, a production issue caused some background musical tracks to play out of sequence.”
“The musical acts on stage at the time, Boyz II Men and Charice were performing live. The issue was corrected for the West Coast telecast.”
