Boston Marathon Bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Found Guilty: Stars React
Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty of all 30 charges after a jury presented its decision in court on Wednesday. After deliberating for more than 11 hours, the jury found the 21-year-old guilty of the attack that killed three people and injured more than 250 others.
Tsarnaev could face the death penalty, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 13 for sentencing. His older brother Tamerian Tsarnaev, also a suspect in the horrific bombing, died during a shootout with police following the attack.
Shortly after the jury’s decision, celebrities took to Twitter to share their thoughts and show support for Boston. See some of their reactions below. Tell us what you think.
Anderson Cooper: “@jaketapper has the right idea today. Enough of tweeting pictures of the Boston Bombing killer. Let’s tweet pictures of those he murdered.”
Piers Morgan: “Don’t kill #DzhokharTsarnaev – make him sit in a tiny cell for the next 60 years, thinking about what he did. #Boston.”
One Republic: “RIP to the victims & I’m happy for the city of Boston to have at least some level of vindication.”
Lisa Ling: “Running the Boston marathon in memory of my late Uncle John and cousin Ali in 2002, was one of the greatest experiences of my life – I fell in love with Bostonians that day. I hope that the families of those killed and those injured in the bombing of 2013 feel some kind of justice today. #Bostonstrong.”
