U2 frontman Bono hurt his back and underwent emergency surgery in Germany.

While preparing for the North American leg of the band’s “360 Degree” world tour, the singer sustained an injury that required an immediate operation in a Munich hospital, where he’ll spend a few days.

Live Nation has confirmed that the launch previously scheduled for June 3 in Salt Lake City has been postponed.

The band’s manager, Paul McGuinness, announced, “We will make plans to reinstate the dates as soon as possible.”
