Director Bobby Farrelly’s Son Jesse Dies

Jesse Farrelly, the son of Hollywood director Bobby Farrelly, has died.

Emergency workers responded to a call regarding an “unresponsive young male… possible overdose” in Costa Mesa, California on Wednesday, reports TMZ.

Farrelly was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

He was 20.

No official cause of death has been announced.

“It is with profound sorrow that we accept the passing of our beloved Jesse following his struggle with addition,” the family said in a statement. “We fully trust that he is now in the hands of our Lord.”

It continues, “We are immeasurably grateful for the abundance of happiness and laughter he brought into our lives, and we will rejoice eternally for all the moments we got to breathe in his wondrous spirit.”

“The family thanks you for your well wishes and kindly asks that you respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

Bobby and his brother Peter have teamed up to create hits including There’s Something About Mary, Dumb and Dumber, Shallow Hal and the upcoming The Three Stooges.
