Bobby Brown Joins Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Nick Gordon
As Gossip Cop reported, Bobbi Kristina’s conservator sued Gordon last June, accusing Gordon of beating her in the hours before she was found unconscious in the bathtub of the home they shared. But when she died last July, six months after the medical emergency, the civil suit was amended to be a wrongful death complaint. It was specifically alleged Gordon gave Bobbi Kristina a “toxic” injection before dragging her to the tub.
And though Gordon has maintained his innocence, Bobby is now a co-plaintiff in the case, according to new legal documents filed on Wednesday. He and the conservator are currently seeking financial sanctions against Gordon for continuing to discuss his involvement in Bobbi Kristina’s life after his attorneys previously argued that providing any discovery information could “incriminate” him. The new filing objects to Gordon’s recent appearance on “Dr. Phil,” in which he discussed Bobbi Kristina at length.
“The defendant ignores this Court’s mandates but freely discusses his role in the incident which led to the horrific injuries to Decedent Bobbi Kristina Brown on public television,” the new complaint reads, further noting that Gordon “fully and freely discusses the version of the facts and circumstances which gave rise to this litigation.” But as Gordon has reportedly parted ways with his former lawyers and is struggling monetarily, it’s unclear what will happen next.
In March, Bobby blasted the release of Bobbi Krisina’ autopsy findings “before anyone has been brought to justice for her death.” And during the “Dr. Phil” appearance, Gordon said of the New Edition singer, “[He] hurt his own daughter, not me. I was the one there for her while she was dealing with him not being there.”
“He’s not a reasonable person so I’m not planning on talking to him, and I really don’t want to,” Gordon went on. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
