Bobbi Kristina’s Boyfriend Nick Gordon Could Face Murder Charges
Prosecutors are getting ready for a possible murder case now that Brown was taken off life support and moved to a hospice center on Wednesday. The Fulton County District Attorney says in a statement that because of “the new circumstances regarding the health of Bobbi Kristina Brown, we will be reviewing the case with greater interest.”
Shortly after Brown was found face-down and unconscious in a filled bathtub at her Roswell, Georgia home on January 31, police said that they were opening a criminal investigation. Gordon wasn’t officially named a suspect, but investigators were concerned about marks reportedly found on Bobbi Kristina’s body, as Gossip Cop reported at the time. Gordon had maintained, however, that he had nothing to do with the medical emergency.
But the renewed investigation against him comes one day after Brown’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, filed a lawsuit against Gordon, alleging he physically beat Brown a few hours before she was found submerged in the bathtub. As Gossip Cop reported, Hargrove also accused Gordon of taking $11,000 from Brown’s account after she was placed in a medically induced coma. The suit, which is seeking $10 million in damages, further stated that Gordon allegedly dragged Brown up a flight of steps by her hair, knocked teeth out of her mouth, and tried to control her by limiting “with whom she could interact” with and answering her phone calls.
The legal documents further claim Brown had confided in someone shortly before the January incident that she felt like Gordon was “not the man she thought he was.” Despite the civil suit, though, it’s still possible there will be no criminal charges filed at all. Gordon has yet to publicly comment on the new allegations. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
