Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Aunt Says She’s “Opening Her Eyes” Amid Conflicting Reports About Her Condition
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s life continues to hang in the balance amid conflicting reports about her condition. The 21-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has been in a medically induced coma for nearly two weeks since being found unconscious in her bathroom on January 31. Family members have characterized Brown’s status in different ways over the last few days, following reports that her doctors had advised Brown’s loved ones that not much could be done for her.
In an interview with the FOX affiliate in Atlanta, Brown’s Aunt Leolah gave perhaps the most encouraging report yet, saying Brown is “opening her eyes” and that there are “a few more things that she’s doing.” Leolah told the station, “Krissi is doing well right now,” although she acknowledged that her niece is still on life support.
But another family source, quoted by People, says that while Brown has “some color back,” she’s still “not responding” to care. Bobby Brown, meanwhile, has rejected the bleakest reports about his daughter’s prognosis as “false,” but has not been able to say that her physical condition has improved significantly in recent days.
Investigators still do not know what happened to Brown. There have been reports that she had a history of seizures, rumors of foul play by her partner Nick Gordon, conflicting stories about the involvement of the couple’s accused drug dealer friend Max Lomas, and speculation about her mental health. But the context and cause of Brown’s medical emergency has still not been confirmed. Gossip Cop will have updates.
