Bobbi Kristina Brother Bobby Brown Jr. Slams “Morbid” Twitter Followers
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s brother Bobby Brown Jr. is calling out “morbid” Twitter followers who only decided to follow his account in the wake of his half-sister’s death.
As Gossip Cop reported, Bobbi Kristina died on Sunday, nearly six months after she was found unconscious and face-down in a bathtub in her home. She spent much of this year in a coma, and was moved into a hospice facility in June as her body continued to deteriorate. Bobbi Kristina’s eventual passing came one day after Bobby Jr. held a release party for his single “Bobby Got Juice.”
In the aftermath, he tweeted, “I want to thank everyone that came out last night for my release party. But right now, I would like to request privacy. – Thank you.” Over the last few days, however, Bobby Jr.’s Twitter follower count has apparently grown, and he ranted about the new followers’ motives. “I don’t want these follows. People don’t give a f*ck about you unless [you’re] relevant, and they don’t love you till you’re famous or gone,” he began.
Bobby Jr. continued, “This is real life for me, this is my life, my sister. Not a f*cking trending topic. People wanna be able to say they feel my pain. But nah. You f*cking don’t, you have no idea. you haven’t been thru half of it.” Bobbi Kristina’s grieving half-brother later deleted his tweets, but sent new ones early Thursday reiterating his point.
“My frustration wasn’t towards people giving me their condolences, it was the fact my followers increased a lot, I find it very morbid,” explained Bobby Jr., who was born the year before Bobbi Kristina. He went on, “I’m not after 15 minutes of fame, or money. For the record, I make my own money proudly. I work very hard in the field I’ve chose to pursue.”
Still, Bobby Jr. noted, “I apologize for using vulgar language, it wasn’t tasteful.” His Twitter account currently has nearly 4,000 followers, but it’s unclear how many he had prior to Bobbi Kristina’s death.
Born Robert Brown Jr., Bobby Jr.’s mom is Kim Ward, who also had a daughter, LaPrincia, with the New Edition singer. Bobby Jr. is probably best known for appearing on his father’s 2005 reality show “Being Bobby Brown.” He is pictured on the far left in the promotional photo above, with Bobbi Kristina on the far right and LaPrincia between them.
