Beyonce and Jay-Z Lose Blue Ivy Trademark Lawsuit (VIDEO)

Beyonce and Jay-Z’s quest to trademark the words “Blue Ivy” has hit a setback.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the new parents filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in late January to trademark their daughter’s name.

The plan hit a hitch, however, when a Massachusetts event planning company also called “Blue Ivy” sued for the right to keep its name.

Last week, the party planning company won the case, according to Fox25 in Boston.

It’s not yet clear how this will affect the superstars’ official application.

    Seems a bit pretentious. Others have similar names. Maybe not exactly but closely similar such as Twilight’s Billy Burke’s daughter whose name is Bluesy and she was born way before Beyonce’s baby.

    A business should not have to change its name because two super stars have massive egos. They should let this go or they will look selfish.

    “its not yet clear, how this will affect the stars application? let me explain it for you, they lost and the event planning company won. Thats how it will affect them, until they appeal and offer billions of dollars and eventually throw such a strop they will get what they want.
