Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Wedding Ceremony Story Is Bait And Switch
The new issue of Star hit newsstands on Wednesday blaring, “Gwen & Blake: Secrets Of The Ceremony!” The cover further says, “The Vows, The Gown, The Guests.” And it also teases “Why Miranda stormed out in tears” and “They bought their rings online!”
But Shelton and Stefani haven’t married. The cover was designed to make readers THINK a wedding has taken place, so they will purchase the magazine. It’s only inside that it’s revealed it was all a bait and switch.
The story is actually about the wedding Shelton and Stefani are supposedly “PLANNING” after he allegedly proposed. A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Preparations are already well under way. They’re planning the wedding for late October, when they’ll both have a break in their busy work schedules.” According to the outlet, “the nuptials will be held at Blake’s $2.3 million estate in Nashville, right after Gwen wraps up her ‘This Is What The Truth Feels Like’ tour and Blake finishes shooting the current season of ‘The Voice.'”
Except “The Voice” doesn’t finish its live episodes until mid-December. Of course, that inaccuracy doesn’t stop the tabloid from babbling on about other supposed details, such as Stefani’s bridal gown, the guest list, and even their honeymoon plans. And what about Miranda Lambert “storming out”? It’s said that happened after she “learned” she was invited to the wedding, too.
But the story is really little more than an expanded version of an article in last week’s edition. As Gossip Cop reported, Star said then that Stefani and Shelton were having an October wedding. But the No Doubt singer’s rep said the claims were “untrue,” and the spokesperson again exclusively confirmed today that he is not aware of any such plans.
