Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert Performing At WE Fest, Despite Divorce
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are headlining August’s WE Fest in Minnesota, despite their divorce. Chances are, however, they probably won’t even run into each other during the three-day festival. Rascal Flatts hits the main stage on August 6, which is opening night, and then Lambert performs on August 7, followed by Shelton on August 8.
While there were rumors that one or the other might cancel because of the divorce, Gossip Cop is told it’s not true and both are honoring their commitments. Should Lambert and Shelton want to avoid each other, it won’t be hard since Lambert’s show starts at 10:45 p.m. on August 7, and she can leave following her show or even the next day. Shelton isn’t slated to perform on August 8 until 10:45 p.m. Gossip Cop hears Shelton and Lambert’s divorce has not adversely affected the ticket sales at WE Fest, which is nearly sold out.
As Gossip Cop reported, last Monday the two were officially granted a divorce. They later released a joint statement which read, “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.” Despite reports of acrimony between the two, on Friday the two tweeted at other to promote their mutual friend Ashley Monroe’s new album, The Blade. They also reunited on Twitter to mock an In Touch cover story, which Gossip Cop was first to debunk, that claimed Lambert was pregnant.
