Blake Shelton performed “Boys ’Round Here” on this week’s “SNL.” He first performed “Neon Light.” Check out the video below of “Boys ’Round Here.”

“Boys ’Round Here” was the second single released off Shelton’s 2013 album “Based on a True Story…” The song celebrates “redneck” life, with its lyrics about how “the boys ’round here don’t listen to The Beatles,” but instead spend their time “drinking that ice cold beer,” “talkin’ ’bout trucks,” and “chew tobacco.”

The original recording of the song featured backup vocals from the Pistol Annies (a group that features Shelton’s wife Miranda Lambert), as well as from country artist RaeLynn, who was a contestant on “The Voice.” A later celebrity mix of “Boys ’Round Here,” featured vocals from the top names in country music, including Lambert, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, and Hank Williams, Jr.

To date, “Boys ’Round Here” has sold more than two and a half million copies, and, like many other of Shelton’s songs, reached the number one spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay list. “Boys ’Round Here” also peaked at 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 list and at number two on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs list.
