Blake Shelton Did NOT Propose To Gwen Stefani, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
According to the National Enquirer, Stefani and Shelton’s relationship “took a turn south — to Oklahoma — so she could meet his parents before he surprised her with a marriage proposal.” The supermarket tabloid alleges that “before Blake popped the question, he wanted his mom, Dorothy, and stepdad, Mike Shackleford to ‘approve her.'” Now a so-called “source” claims, “Blake hopes to marry Gwen in the spring — and his parents couldn’t be happier.”
Let’s stop right there. The tabloids seem not only fixated on Stefani and Shelton’s romance, but also intent on fast-tracking it. Since the stars went public just over a month ago, there’s been countless stories claiming marriage and babies are on the way.
But they’ve all been completely fabricated. In fact, on Friday, Gossip Cop corrected a different report from the gossip rags, after In Touch alleged Shelton and Stefani were talking about having kids, and possibly even adopting. Now this is yet another imaginative work of fiction.
Gossip Cop is told by a rep for Stefani that the National Enquirer’s proposal claim is “untrue.” Should she and Shelton continue seeing each other and one day get engaged, Gossip Cop will have it. But right now, everyone is jumping the gun.
