Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Do NOT Have “Scheme” To “Ditch ‘The Voice,'” Despite Report
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani do not have a “scheme to “ditch ‘The Voice,'” despite a report. Gossip Cop can call out the manufactured story.
“Gwen & Blake Celebrate Easter Amid Scheme To Ditch ‘The Voice’,” reads a headline from RadarOnline. The site deems the couple a “plotting pair” because they are supposedly planning to leave the NBC competition. According to the webloid, the current 12th season “might very well be the last for Stefani and Shelton.”
Alleging the reality show is “going through some serious shake-ups,” the outlet repeats the already debunked claims that Stefani is threatening to leave “The Voice” because she doesn’t want to work alongside season 13 coach Miley Cyrus. A supposed source told the online publication, “And, of course, since Gwen does not want to return, now Blake is considering throwing in the towel as well!”
Gossip Cop, however, busted these allegations when they were originally published days ago. Although the panel for next season and future cycles has yet to be locked down, Stefani’s rep exclusively told Gossip Cop it was “untrue” she’s threatening leave the show. Now, despite the on-the-record debunking from the singer’s own spokesperson, RadarOnline still regurgitated the falsehoods in a new piece, which was designed to sensationalize the couple’s Easter outing.
The webloid, of course, could’ve just reported straight out that Shelton and Stefani spent the holiday together. But the site combined its photo gallery of invasive paparazzi pictures with the untrue allegation that the stars have a “scheme” to “ditch ‘The Voice.'” But there wasn’t any truth to this supposed “plot” when the blog first published the claims, and it’s not any more true now that it’s being crafted in a different way. It’s entirely possible Shelton or Stefani may bow out of future seasons, but it won’t be because there’s some sort of secret plan.
