Miranda Lambert: I Did NOT Cheat — But Blake Shelton Did
As Gossip Cop has reported, Lambert and Shelton announced on Monday that they were divorcing after four years of marriage. Just a few hours after their joint statement was released, a judge signed off on their divorce papers, making them officially single. Shelton had filed for divorce earlier this month.
While a number of reasons have been suggested for the split, TMZ, which broke the news of the divorce, reported on Tuesday that Shelton believed Lambert was unfaithful not once, but twice. He first heard about rumors she “hooked up” with Chris Young, and then more recently learned of an alleged infidelity with someone else. For his part, Young has denied playing any role in the breakdown of Shelton and Lambert’s marriage, as Gossip Cop previously noted.
And now Lambert’s team is claiming Shelton is the one who strayed. While few details were provided, TMZ says the accusation is tied to another “famous country singer.” The allegation, however, comes after People cited a source on Tuesday as saying Shelton “hasn’t cheated ever.”
Gossip Cop has repeatedly reached out to both sides in an attempt to separate fact from fiction, and reps for Shelton and Lambert say they don’t plan on commenting further. Neither star has personally spoken out on the divorce since the initial statement, though Shelton broke his silence Tuesday afternoon with a tweet showing his trademark sense of humor. “Just got off the treadmill. This calls for a drink. Bitch…,” he wrote. TELL US: What do you think of Lambert and Shelton’s teams putting out dueling cheating allegations?
