Blake Shelton “Came Here To Forget” ACMs Video: Watch ACM Awards Performance!
Blake Shelton performed “Came Here To Forget” at the 2016 ACMs on Sunday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, “Came Here To Forget” was released last month as the first single from Shelton’s upcoming album. The song, which tells the story of a guy getting over a breakup with the help of another woman, is believed to be inspired by Shelton’s real-life divorce from Miranda Lambert and subsequent new romance with Gwen Stefani. This marked Shelton’s first live performance of the track, and Lambert was actually in attendance as a fellow ACMs performer.
Shelton’s relationship status wasn’t the only thing different about his trip to the ACMs this year. After co-hosting the last three ceremonies with Luke Bryan, the country superstar ceded his duties to Dierks Bentley. And while he still signed up to perform, this is the first year Shelton doesn’t have any nominations since 2011.
Of course, the singer still has plenty going for him. Later his month he will resume doing live episodes of “The Voice,” and he voices a character in next month’s The Angry Birds Movie. That’s actually slated to come out on May 20, the same day Shelton’s 10th studio album, If I’m Honest, will drop. And all this comes after Shelton hosted the Kids’ Choice Awards last month.
Yes, it’s still pretty good to be Blake Shelton. Check out the video of Shelton’s “Came Here To Forget” ACM Awards performance below!
