Birthday Boy Perez royally wrong about Madonna movie

“Ewan McGregor is the latest actor to sign on to the upcoming Madonna-directed film W.E.,” reports Perez Hilton, adding, “McGregor will play Edward VIII who abdicated the throne in 1936 to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson.”

After noting that Madonna also co-wrote the film, Perez writes, “We absolutely adore her as a musical artist, but we’re not holding our breath for a hit film… But maybe she’ll prove us wrong with these casting choices?”

Uh, speaking of “wrong” and “casting”…

McGregor is NOT in W.E. A rep for the actor tells Gossip Cop he is “not doing” the film.

Well, now that Perez blew this story, maybe he should just concentrate on blowing out some candles.
