“Dancing With The Stars” Contestant Bindi Irwin Pays Tribute To Late “Crocodile Hunter” Father Steve
“Dancing With The Stars” contestant Bindi Irwin posted on Sunday a touching tribute on Instagram to her late father, “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, following the ninth anniversary of his death.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Bindi was the first cast member announced to be joining season 21 of the ABC reality competition show “Dancing With The Stars.” She’s the 17-year-old daughter of former TV personality Steve Irwin, who was fatally wounded in 2006 when he was stabbed by a stingray while filming a wildlife documentary. Bindi was just eight years old at the time.
Along with a photo of her late dad interacting with a crocodile, Bindi wrote, “Thinking about home today. Father’s Day is today in Australia and everyone is celebrating at Australia Zoo. It’s such a special time of year, I hope everyone who comes to the zoo today is able to enjoy it with our gorgeous animals. No matter where I am in the world, this day means such a lot to me. My heart forever lives @AustraliaZoo – just like Dad’s always did.”
Bindi has been paired up with professional dancer Derek Hough on season 21 of “Dancing with The Stars,” which kicks off on ABC on September 14. Tell us what you think about her heartfelt tribute to late father, “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin.
