Bruno Tonioli exclaimed that Irwin’s trio was “totally compelling” and a “work of genius.” He further commented on the use of the light, which he said represented the “struggle of light and darkness,” and was a metaphor for Irwin’s “inner light that will never be extinguished.” And Carrie Ann Inaba felt it wasn’t a “Dancing With The Stars” routine, but rather that it looked like it was done by a “professional contemporary dance company.”
