Wait, Gossip Cop was a bit confused. We watched the Miley Cyrus rap – even posted it. In the video, Cyrus claimed the reason she deleted her Twitter account was that she was tired of her 140-character updates being turned into news stories. “Everything that I type, everything that I do, some gossip site makes it news,” she sang. “I’m done tryin’ to please, I ain’t livin’ for tabloids, I am living for me,” she added.

She even rapped that her tweets stopped her from “living for moments,” and instead “started living for people.”

OK, we get it. She was fed up tweeting about her life for others, and the media using the tweets for articles, blog posts, and TV segments. Fair enough.

And that’s why we scratched our heads when her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, tweeted last night, “I got the scoop Apples r one thing but hackers r another She had no choice She said she loves ya’ll and please understand.” So then the real reason is not that she was tired of people making stories out of her tweets, but really because she was hacked?

And he again implied that the “Hannah Montana” star was hacked when he himself, tweeted today, “Daddy got hacked too!Looks like I’ll be goin bye bye also.”

Well, dad and daughter may need to communicate better, because a rep for both of them told Gossip Cop, “Miley wasn’t hacked.”
