Billy Gilman “The Voice” Finale Video: Watch All Performances!
Billy Gilman came one step closer to winning “The Voice” with his performances on Monday’s finale. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, Gilman has been the frontrunner throughout season 11 of the NBC competition. A former child star, he was just 11 years old when he scored a country hit with “One Voice,” earning him a Grammy nomination. His career, however, stalled after that, leading to a comeback now as a pop artist on “The Voice.”
For tonight’s finals, Gilman had to take the stage three times. Opening the two-hour live broadcast, the artist performed his cover of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” doing the first verse a capella. He was in tears by the end, and received a standing ovation from coach Adam Levine, as well as Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys. Cyrus actually noted Gilman “performed my favorite song in the whole world.”
As Gilman became more emotional, Levine noted how he truly embodies the song has done things “my way.” The Maroon 5 front man even asked, “How do you not feel like you’ve just won ‘The Voice’ just now?!” With his second appearance, Gilman was joined by his coach to do a duet performance of “Bye Bye Love” by The Everly Brothers.
Lastly, Gilman sang “Because Of Me,” the original song that will be his winner’s single should he in fact be named the champion tomorrow night. It was originally intended to be a Maroon 5 song, and afterward, Levine said, “I’m happy for you because this moment I think is probably one of the most definitive moments of your career, and I think you’re going to see the results of that every day after today.” Check out all the performances below!
