Billy Bush NOT Offered ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Despite Report
Billy Bush has NOT been offered a spot to compete on the spring 2017 season of “Dancing with the Stars,” despite a false report. Gossip Cop can debunk this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Gossip Cop reported, a 2005 video leaked last week depicting Bush and Donald Trump having a lewd conversation about women prior to filming a segment for “Access Hollywood.” The entertainment reporter has since been suspended from his job as a co-anchor on NBC’s “Today” show, and is expected soon to exit the morning program permanently. In light of the controversy, the New York Post is now claiming ABC is looking to relaunch Bush’s career by offering him a new gig on “Dancing with the Stars.”
A supposed “insider” tells the outlet, “It comes in March. That’s far enough away. Everybody goes on to do the apology tour. It’s ironic there is Ryan Lochte on, who he started this controversy with when he started with ‘Today.’” The newspaper’s misinformed source adds, “It’s also a way for ABC to establish a relationship with him.”
But Gossip Cop looked into the situation, and it simply isn’t accurate. A source close to Bush laughed off the report and exclusively told Gossip Cop it’s “not true.” The news anchor simply hasn’t been offered the opportunity to join the cast of the upcoming “Dancing with the Stars” season. This is a non-story.
