Billy Bush NOT “Begging” To Join ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Despite Report
Billy Bush is NOT “begging” to join the cast of the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars,” despite a false webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
Last year, the TV personality left his job as co-anchor of NBC’s “Today” show following the leak of a 2005 video depicting him and Donald Trump having a lewd conversation about women. RadarOnline is now claiming that Bush is so “desperate” to get back in the spotlight that he’s “begging to be cast on Season 24” of the reality competition show.
A so-called “source” tells the site, “Billy said he would be willing to take a pay cut, and take a sum much lower than the other contestants.” But the outlet’s supposed insider then goes on to say that ABC executives are against the idea of hiring Bush because they’re “tired of having celebs wanting to join ‘DWTS’ as a way of doing damage control.” The questionable source adds, “A lot of them are also sick of having contestants who want to be cast as a way of reviving their broken career, which is exactly what some believe Billy is trying to do!”
Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a rep for Bush, who exclusively assures us he’s absolutely not “begging” to join the new season of “Dancing with the Stars.” We’re told the webloid’s claim otherwise is both “ridiculous” and “not true.”
