Billie Lourd broke her silence on the deaths of her mother, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, on Monday. See photo below.
In her first public comments and first Instagram post since their passings last week, Lourd wrote, “Receiving all of your prayers and kind words over the past week has given me strength during a time I thought strength could not exist. There are no words to express how much I will miss my Abadaba and my one and only Momby. Your love and support means the world to me.”
Accompanying the text was a childhood photo of Lourd with her famous mom and grandma. In just minutes, the post’s comments section became filled with condolences from fans, many of whom urged the star to “stay strong.” As Gossip Cop reported, Lourd’s “Scream Queen” co-stars have also used Instagram to show their support for her during this difficult time.
Fisher died at age 60 last Tuesday, December 27. Reynolds died the following day, Wednesday, December 28, at age 84. Lourd is Fisher’s only child, but survivors also include Reynolds’ son and Fisher’s brother, Todd. He has indicated that there will be a joint funeral and burial.
