As Gossip Cop reported, Cosby was arraigned hours after the Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele announced that the comedian was being charged with a first-degree felony, for which he faces up to 10 years in prison. The charge stems from Cosby allegedly drugging and molesting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand back in 2004.
As he made his way to the courthouse, Cosby was swarmed by the media. The comic was walking with a cane, while being supported by two unidentified people on either side of him. At one point, however, the comedian stumbled. He remained silent during the walk, despite the plethora of reporters shouting out questions.
During the hearing, Cosby was forced to surrender his passport, meaning he is free to travel within the United States, but not permitted to leave the country. The comedian’s next court appearance has been scheduled for January 14, and no plea deal was entered as of yet.
After Cosby’s mugshot and fingerprints were taken, he was released on a $1 million bail. See a large version of Cosby’s mugshot below.
