Bill Clinton Muhammad Ali Funeral Video: Watch Eulogy From Memorial Service
As Gossip Cop has reported, Ali died a week ago at age 74 of complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Prior to his death, he meticulously planned his own funeral. And after his passing, Clinton was asked to be one of the speakers at the public memorial service.
Held at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville, Kentucky following a procession and private burial, more than 15,000 people showed up to pay respects to the boxing legend. Among them were hundreds of celebrities and dignitaries. Clinton took the stage to talk about Ali being a “man of faith” and how his spiritual beliefs helped him make the world a better place. “It was the choices that he made that has brought us all here today in honor and love,” added Clinton.
Clinton went on to praise Ali’s “truly unique gifts” and refusal “to be imprisoned by a disease.” The former president added, “He perfected gifts that we all have… Gifts of mind and heart. He found a way to release them in ways large and small.” Clinton expressed that “the most important thing of all” was the lives Ali touched and the people he inspired.
“He’s bigger than ever because he is a free man of faith sharing the gifts we all have,” Clinton continued. “We should honor him by letting our gifts go across the world as he did.” The former president concluded, “God bless you, my friend. Go in peace.” Gossip Cop has the full video of Bill Clinton’s eulogy of Muhammed Ali below.
