“Glee” for Lady Gaga but none for Coldplay and Bryan Adams

The cast and creators of “Glee” were honored last night by the Paley Center in Los Angeles, and they sure were belting out dish about upcoming episodes.

Like what?

Lady Gaga will be featured on the show!

Show creator Ryan Murphy said, “We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, ‘Yes, I’d love to be a part of it.’ So we will be doing Lady Gaga this season.”

Also, look out for Jane Lynch in a cone bra when she does a rendition of “Vogue” – in black-and-white – for an upcoming episode, which features 10 Madonna songs.

Murphy said when he contacted Madonna and explained that the show wanted to do a tribute to her, “She said ‘yes,’ and she cooperated in every way possible.”

But two acts that reportedly did not cooperate and haven’t (yet) allowed their music to be covered by “Glee” are Coldplay and Bryan Adams, though the latter says he was never contacted by the show.

Speaking of singing shows, “Glee” star Amber Riley, who was booted from “American Idol” early on, was asked what she would now say to Simon Cowell. Riley responded that she would tell the acerbic judge, “Nanny, Nanny, boo boo.”

Exactly.

    Not to be a whiner here because I love this site, but I don’t get the whole Lady Gags thing. Her music is nice, it’s catchy but those outfits and all seem so contrived, like she’s working too hard to be alternative and different. There was another singer who did that and she was great – and original – her name was Madonna. The rest seem to me like posers.

    And I tried to get into “Glee,” but didn’t work for me.

    Sorry I’m sounding so negative. Love this site, just don’t “get” Gaga or “Glee.”

    Lady Gaga on Glee…. well… For me this show was never that much… It has its fun moments, the guys are gr8 singers, but every time I watch it, I remember “High school musical”… and that was a terrible movie… Oh, sorry… 3 terrible movies… Anyway, singing at school??… not original at all… But a few jokes can make miracle these days, right?… Anyway…. after a Lady gaga episode… this show is over for me!!!!

    I guess the producers should pick a better star… Lady Gaga shows her creativity just by looking at the title of her cds… “The Fame” and “The Monster Fame”… I guess it saved her lots of time and brain cells…
