Beyonce is People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful Woman” of 2012

Beyonce is the cover of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful” issue, the weekly announced on Wednesday.

She tells the mag in an interview, “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” adding, ”I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”

Of her daughter Blue Ivy, who was born in January, she says, “She’s just the cutest thing,” and that she  loves changing diapers.

“The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” says Beyonce. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”

Other notable 2012 Beautiful People in the magazine were Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Wiig, Michelle Williams, Jennifer Hudson and a number of men, including Bradley Cooper and Blake Shelton.

Last year, the top honor went to Jennifer Lopez.

    I don’t think it should be about race or color at all. The most beautiful “person” should be about someone who has given BACK. Someone with a purpose driven life. Someone who has taken their celebrity and done something positive with it. Did you raise awareness? Did you feed the hungry?

    For me Julia Roberts as mentioned above is not even close to Jennifer Lopez and don’t get me started on the overrated looks of Jennifer Anniston. Beyonce isn’t bad but no way is the most beautiful. By the way I’m white and I just dissed two white women.

    I feel the negative reaction has little to do with her being a black women and more to do with her being such an obvious commercial beauty; Beyonce is incredibly beautiful, and the world already knows this. She is always on some magazine cover.

    I agree beyonce is FAR from the most beautiful woman on the earth..The TRUTH people dont want to face is that in destinys child it was cinnamon brown kelly rowland who is PRETTIER than beyonce.. BUT beyonce was considered a commerical look ONLY because of her yellow skin a and blond horse weaves.. Its the classic light skinned / darker skinned game.. Beyonces color appealed to more “mainstream” ( eg white) appeal.. period.So suddenly she was promoted into the spotlite.

    Just a crappy choice. She’s been on the edge of my Z-list of entertainment for years. It’s ok to have awesome songs about random nothingness and be popular. She hasn’t had a grammy for anything in a while, not much charity work and her child’s birth actually ended up keep other parents away from their newborns. Skin bleaching is also just ridiculous…right along with those unnatural tans she has from time to time. Not even a good cover photo. WTF.
