Is Beyoncé’s daughter a child prodigy?

The superstar said on Saturday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” that daughter Blue Ivy is already reading flashcards at just 13 months old.

“Very smart. She loves books,” Beyoncé said when asked to describe her little one. “She is doing flashcards. She is beautiful.”

“You’re doing flashcards at 13 months already?” Oprah asked incredulously.

“She likes it!” insisted the singer.

Beyoncé also opened up to Oprah about her devastating miscarriage, her marriage with Jay-Z, and cutting professional ties with her father.

    She is a beautiful successful person and you can be too. She has worked hard for what she has and she deserves it. She started young and practiced, practiced and the best part is that she was born and meant to be talented.

    Yes, many people have children that are smart – why can’t she too? She has time to work with her baby because she is not a partying person and stays home a lot when she is not working. Don’t hate, you only get sick and it destroys you after a while. She is only human.

    What do flashcards have to do with child prodigy…OMG! Hopefully, it’s her mother and father that do them with her, and not some nanny. Many children learn through flashcards or other educational games. We have a friend whom has a 2 yr old that knows his Abc’s can count to 20, knows the appropriate names of dinosaurs knows all makes an models of trucks, colors, shapes, etc. and he just turned 2. I guess because Blue Ivy’s mother and father are music mogul’s, she just has to be a prodigy. Give me a break…
