Beyonce And Jay Z “Abandoned” Adoption Plans?
Beyonce and Jay Z “abandoned” their supposed adoption plans, according to a suspicious report published on Friday. Gossip Cop investigated the claims, and here’s what we’ve exclusively learned.
RadarOnline is claiming the superstar couple recently chose to “postpone” an already in-the-works adoption. Though they allegedly planned to “take in a child in need,” they changed their mind after finding out Beyonce was pregnant with twins, contends the site. A so-called “family insider” tells the webloid, “They had finalized papers to adopt a child and were on the hunt for an orphan to take home when the IVF worked.”
“Thankfully they’d not yet started visiting orphanages so they hadn’t bonded with any kids yet,” conveniently asserts the online outlet’s supposed source. The purported tipster goes on to maintain, “Having twins on the way has totally put adoption on the back-burner.” But these claims are eyebrow-raising for a few reasons.
First of all, Beyonce announced her pregnancy on February 1. It’s odd that RadarOnline would be first alleging two months later that an adoption had been in the works. Not only has no reputable publication reported such a thing, but it doesn’t make sense that the webloid would suddenly learn this “exclusive” information so long after Beyonce revealed her pregnancy. A skeptic might think the site made up the story.
Secondly, before this very belated and suspect claim, the outlet had been caught fudging other stories about Beyonce. In February, after the Grammys, Gossip Cop busted the webloid for falsely claiming Beyonce was going into hiding and wouldn’t be seen for the rest of her pregnancy. We rightly corrected that untrue article at the time, and the singer has indeed publicly stepped out on multiple occasions since that tale was published.
Despite being obviously wrong with that story, the site still published another piece last month untruthfully insisting Beyonce was going to be hiding because of pregnancy weight gain. In actuality, she’s proudly showed off her growing bump in regular updates on her social media and official website. Gossip Cop has also debunked other assorted pregnancy-related claims from RadarOnline over the last two months, and we can’t forget when the outlet erroneously claimed Beyonce was pregnant in early 2016.
All this is to say the webloid has a provably horrible track record when it comes to reporting on the singer. Now a Beyonce source tells Gossip Cop that the online publication once again doesn’t know what it’s talking about. In fact, when asked about this latest story, another contact even sniped, “Radar needs to stop making things up.” Gossip Cop agrees.
And we have a sneaking suspicion the only reason the webloid ran this article at all is because it suddenly remembered that its sister outlet OK! claimed last fall that Beyonce and Jay Z were adopting. There was nothing to support the allegation then, and there still isn’t any proof now.
