After a successful Facebook campaign by her fans, Betty White is set to host “Saturday Night Live” on May 8.

The gig is part of a special Mother’s Day episode, which will also feature female SNL alumna Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, Molly Shannon, and Ana Gasteyer, most of them moms.

White does not have any kids – though she considers her golden retriever, Pontiac, her child –  but as SNL’s creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels explained, “She’s the mother of us all in comedy.”
