White was born on January 17, 1922. In the 1940s and 50s, she launched a career in show business. Notably, in the 1970s through the 1990s, that included Emmy-winning turns on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” and “Golden Girls.” Over the years, she’s become one of Hollywood’s most beloved personalities.
That’s why it’s no surprise to see an outpouring of birthday wishes from famous faces. Sharing the classic clip of White doing the dab, Reese Witherspoon tweeted, “Proof of why #BettyWhite is my all time fav! HBD @BettyMWhite!!” Josh Gad also posted a funny gif of White with alcohol, writing, “Happy 95th @BettyMWhite – drink up love!!”
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful pal @BettyMWhite,” wrote Craig Ferguson. “First actress I ever worked with in Hollywood. Spoiled me for the rest. I love you Betty. And then there was William Shatner, who tweeted, “@BettyMWhite Congratulations!” Included was a link to a video greeting card, in which the actor congratulates the star on having a baby and even performs “Shout.” He amusingly states in the accompanying note, “Betty, Heard you were ‘expecting’ a big day today! Hope I heard you correctly! XOXO! Bill.”
