Betty Crock: Site Brings Back Bad Jessica Simpson & Gerard Butler Rumor

“Stop me if you’ve heard this one before,” Betty Confidential opens. We should have done just that.
The site claims Gerard Butler is Jessica Simpson‘s “latest Mr. Wrong” after their “date” in October led to nothing other than Butler “swapping spit” two weeks later with Lindsay Lohan. A “pal” says Jessica has a habit of being “too needy” and scared Butler away. “It was all too much, too soon,” Betty Confidential sighs, noting that “rather than learning from past mistakes and moving slowly with playboy Gerard, Jessica followed the same pattern and jumped in feet first.”
While Betty dubs Butler “Mr. Wrong,” she’s pretty wrong herself. Because other than spelling everyone’s name correctly and reheating an ice-cold, weeks-old rumor, there’s nothing here. As Gossip Cop reported back then, their chaperoned meet-up in New York was not a date; Simpson and Butler share a makeup artist and decided to share some lunch. There was no romance, just as there was no romance between Butler and Lohan.
